A logo design would usually be priced higher than other design work due to the level of originality that goes into it and the importance of a logo for a company’s image and identity.
The factors that determine the price are:
1. Your experience and skill as a designer
2. How large the company is and what they can afford
For a freelance designer I would charge no less than $200 for a logo.
If you have excellent skills and work very quickly, you have good reasons to charge higher for your work.
If you are not dramatically changing the original logo of the company, you could charge less. It depends on how much originality you are putting into it. If you’re just changing colors and cleaning it up, but not changing the original concept, you wouldn’t charge as high a price as if you’re really creating a brand new logo with a new original idea.
